What does VeteransPlus do for its members?
- VeteransPlus will teach you how to create a household budget, how to pay off your debts in a responsible way and how to teach your children about money. We will help you to understand how your credit rating is established and how it can affect nearly every significant financial transaction you make or consider. We will teach you how to save for a new home or how to keep the home you have.
- VeteransPlus does not loan money, nor does it sell or offer investment advice or sell insurance or any product of the kind. Instead, we believe that the way to financial independence is through education and understanding.

Why does VeteransPlus do what it does?
- VeteransPlus is a Veteran-founded organization that understands the sacrifices that our nation’s military and their families have made for our freedom. We are also aware the unique financial challenges that our service members, past and present, face both during service and after they have returned to civilian life.
- The general public has become more aware of the toll, mental and physical, that our returning service members must face. But often, financial challenges are not considered. Families of deployed service members are often forced to deal with rising debt, depleted savings and reduced income. These things weigh heavily on the service member trying to do his or her job overseas. Veterans are facing job loss and foreclosure in record numbers, and their families are dependent on them to survive.
- Financial stress is among the most significant causes of marital strife, workplace problems, substance abuse and homelessness. Often, all that is needed is a helping hand. Education empowers the individual and enables them to take control of the situation.
- VeteransPlus is the only organization of its kind. That is, VeteransPlus is the only non-profit whose mission is the financial education and empowerment of those who have served. There are numerous organizations who are dedicated to the care and well-being of Veterans. Most of these organizations do tremendous work and provide untold benefit to those they serve. Our mission is to ensure that those we serve are able to help themselves in the future, to avoid the negative consequences of financial mismanagement and instill the same sort of discipline in their financial dealings that is required of them as soldiers, sailors, marines or airmen.
